The subject of this research was a science learning evaluation instrument consisting of a grid, questionnaire sheet and a test of natural science learning outcome.
This study was only carried out until the develop stage. The development model used in this research was 4D, consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The students obtained low learning outcomes in thermochemistry due to their concept.This research aims to evolve an instrument of learning motivation assessment and natural science learning outcomes. The data showed that the student who had difficulties in learning thermochemistry, students had lowunderstanding on chemistry concepts. Analysis of student’s answer sheets showed that students already had excellent mathematical skills was 71.43%.
Average student’s learning outcomes in thermochemistry subject was 44.08. The analysis showed that average student’s mathematic skill was 82.86 whitch measured at 9 mathematical skills indicators contained in thermochemistry subject. Data were collected using interview techniques and measuring.
